Art Cloth Dolls
I wanted to try something new and found a group on Yahoo that did these kind of dolls - little did I know what I was unleashing in myself, my first doll was a disaster (yes I am honest enough to admit it) but like everything else with practice you get better.
Christmas Cooking
This doll I made for my Mother-in-Law's Christmas present, she spends all year baking and so this doll seemed appropriate. She has a wire armature skeleton with weights to help her 'sit'.
Her bloomers and apron are covered with snowmen and she is wearing her blue fluffy slippers. She is even sporting snowmen oven gloves. Her face was needle sculpted, covered in cloth clay (sanded down) and then painted.
